A lifelong Christian, Maeve cannot imagine life without God. Raised on theological discussions, her faith developed around the family dinner table where conversations often centered on theology, the church, Methodist history, and how God is evident in quantum mechanics. Outside of her family, her church background includes being baptized in the Lutheran tradition and attending a Christian Reformed Church during elementary school. Her family moved to Oklahoma City in 2011 and they began attending Church of the Servant UMC. She was confirmed into the United Methodist Church in 2012. She has been an active member of the United Methodist Church ever since. In January 2019 God called her to vocational ministry as a pastor.
Maeve graduated with a Master of Divinity from Drew University Theological School in 2025 And is in the process of ordination. She is currently a Certified Candidate on the path to ordaination as an Elder in the UMC. In ministry Maeve is passionate about discipleship—learning what it means to live the life God created us for—sharing the renewing power of God’s grace, the power of prayer, encouraging those around her to discover their spiritual gifts, engaging with diverse communities, and caring for all God’s creation. Issues close to her heart include environmental and food justice, criminal justice reform, and ensuring all people are welcomed, honored, and uplifted in church communities.
Maeve describes herself as an encouraging and energetic leader, a church nerd, tree hugger, amateur baker, admirer of the sky, and lover of all things literary. In addition to seminary studies, she has a B.S. in Equine Studies from the University of New Hampshire and enjoys riding and coaching horseback riding in her spare time.
